American fashion company, PVH Corporation has become the latest to join the ‘CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion’ initiative.
After signing onto this commitment, Emanuel (Manny) Chirico, PVH Chairman and Chief Executive, is now a part of the growing coalition of companies vowing to advance inclusion and diversity in the workplace.
The expanding alliance of CEOs is already sharing the best practices, exchanging solid learning prospects and fashioning cooperative discussions through the initiative’s cohesive centre, CEOAction.com for the betterment of the business community.
Tim Ryan, US Chairman and Senior Partner of PwC and Chair of the steering committee of the CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion considers that such kind of association helps spread the initiative’s reach and get some exclusive values, actions and viewpoints to endure and to increase the standards for the whole business section.
A study has revealed that 85 per cent people among those surveyed feel that diversity is a key element to fostering innovation in the workplace.
Markedly, PVH is supporting the cause in every aspect. The fashion company was recently included in the 2018 Corporate Equality Index (CEI) for crafting an inclusive corporate environment where every individual is treasured.
The fashion retailer got placed on the list of 609 key American and international corporations that secured top marks this year for LGBTQ equality at the place of work.
PVH CEO Chirico is gratified to be a part of such an initiative which encourages an ‘inclusive workplace’. “It will help us to continue our journey toward creating a comprehensive environment where every individual is valued,” said Chirico in a statement issued by the company.
Pertinent to mention here that individuality, partnership, passion, integrity and accountability are the core values of the company which is committed to investing in and supporting its associates in reaching their full potential.
