Mimaki USA, a manufacturer and supplier of wide-format inkjet printers and cutters, has inaugurated a new Midwest Region Technology Centre in Franklin, Wisconsin near Milwaukee, USA.

The new facility is the replacement of the centre in Shaumburg, Illinois (Chicago), which had shut its operations in April this year. The centre is conveniently located, approximately 15 minutes from Milwaukee’s General Mitchell International Airport at 4700 W. Ryan Road.

Spread over an area of 16,585 square feet, the new technology centre will target existing and prospective customers in the Midwest by showcasing new and innovative digital inkjet printing solutions in action. It is pertinent to mention here that the region is one of the USA’s strongest printing corridors.

Further adding to the objective, Scott Champeau, General Manager, Mimaki USA explains, “It (the centre) will serve to support our dealers in the Midwest, as well as train and inspire end-users within that region.”

The Midwest technology centre will also offer hands-on experience on the latest in digital inkjet printing technology, including UV curable, dye sublimation, latex, and solvent printing. It will be the hub of solutions’ demonstrations, dealer technician certification courses, end-user software and applications training, open houses, and Microfactory events.

Apart from these, a showroom housed in the centre will display samples of a number of applications that can be developed through the company’s printers and cutters.
